JMJ may provide a limited non-diagnostic ultrasound for clients.  Whether or not an ultrasound is needed will be based on the advisors discretion after the client receives a confirmation of pregnancy. This procedure is safe for both Mom and baby. This ultrasound will only be used to:

  • confirm the pregnancy
  • determine approximately how far along the pregnancy is
  • see a picture of the baby

This limited ultrasound is non-diagnostic and it does NOT replace the ultrasound that your OB provider will perform at 17-20 weeks to assess baby’s anatomy and wellbeing. It is NOT intended to check for gender, fetal health, abnormalities, etc.

An ultrasound will not be performed if you are experiencing any immediate medical problems such as but not limited to pain, cramping, spotting and/or bleeding.
