Christmas Wish
I love Christmas time! It is a time of great prayer and giving, in honor of the most famous unplanned pregnancy. I often think about Mary and how she felt when she discovered she was pregnant and how much she can sympathize with the women we serve at JMJ.
This year, especially, I would like to humbly ask you to remember JMJ Life Center when both praying and giving. We have had a difficult year with donations dropping drastically and the needs of our clients rising sharply. 92 cents of every dollar we take in goes directly to helping families in crisis, but with less money coming in, we are less able to help the families that really need us the most.
The need is so enormous. We have had woman come into our centers, looking for not only for supplies and pregnancy tests, but food and shelter. This is not part of our ministry, but our generous Directors and Volunteers have personally emptied their wallets time and time again. There are times when we have had to turn women away because we have no more to give or nowhere for them to stay. It truly breaks my heart to know these young women and their other children are out on the street.
JMJ has been a big part of my life for many years and my Christmas wish is that we will get the support we need to not only survive, but to grow and expand to help more families. I personally feel very blessed that I can give my friends and family so many presents for Christmas, so if you feel blessed as I do, I hope you will prayerfully consider a gift to JMJ.
